Today, instead of sharing one of my well-being cards, we are taking a little moodle into my weekly zine. I won't share how the zine is made, as I normally do that on Instagram each Sunday.
The page art
"Writing to flourish" are the words on the front page of my zine for this week. They come from a magazine and seemed important enough to add to the cover alongside the words "nurture a creative and well-being practice".
When I think of flourishing, I immediately think about thriving and growing in the best possible, healthy way - as a plant would do in its happy spot. It's one of the reasons I'm doing this 100-day project.
For me, writing is a powerful way to "work out the knots" / "tease apart" my emotions, and my responses to situations, and then reconnect my findings with my life. I find that writing helps me be more optimistic about the future, connect my many life passions together and find more meaning and purpose in my life.
If you’re a regular writer, what is your most profound experience of writing as a habit?
Gustave Flaubert says "the art of writing is the art of discovering what you believe" - a thought I've heard echoed by many writers including Mary Oliver. I’d go as far as to say, to find out who I am!
Connection
I've chosen connection as my intention for March 2023 (a project I am doing on Instagram - see #12intentions2023 and #ED12intentions2023challenge). I keep coming back to this as the guiding principle for this writing and art-based 100-day project ... exploring a deeper connection with myself through writing; a spiritual attunement with myself and the universe. Although I am not religious, I feel that I need to be connected to and part of something bigger than myself, a collection of souls.
I’m not sure yet, where our moodling will take us tomorrow.
If you want to find out a bit more about this 100-day project and a little bit of backstory, head to the About page.
A collection of likeminded souls... this is something I too have worked towards and searched out Debs, it is a creative journey all of its own and I love every second. Have a great weekend x
