The filtered sun, bathes one side of my body in warmth
The other feels the fresh morning chill from the slightly ajar window
I find myself in the epicentre of a dance
Of shadow and light
Undulating lines of light and dark swing and sway around my living space
Ever changing, ever moving
Bewitching in their evanescent nature
Sequins of rainbow prisms twirl over the space
Like a mini disco ball
Life calls
Reluctantly I answer
I'd prefer to witness this dance all-day
Seeker of light
Look into the spaces
Absorb the magic of the moment for a few more seconds
Look for the Light, Light Seeker
Today we are taking a moodle into light. I hope my little poem gives you the sense that there is nothing better than watching light move around my homeplace! And yes, I could spend the whole day capturing the dance with my camera!
I adore light - it makes me feel happier, more alive. The longer summer days, even when they aren't sunny, will bring lightness into my life.
Photographically, I am always chasing the light, the shadows created by it and how it is reflected and refracted. An image cannot be captured without light.
Metaphorically, in looking for and by catching the light, I could transform it into something glorious, that not only disperses energy into my life, but maybe also beyond, more broadly into others' lives too. That is a the idea anyway.
The card art
This is what the words on this card (number 8/50) are all about, looking for the light in my life in multiple ways.
Unintentionally, I seem to be posting all the cards that use this lovely, fresh blue and yellow palette! As with other cards, the art on this card started out with a spiral-shaped mark made with watercolour pencil. The blue and yellows were created using Caran D'Ache watercolour crayons around the shape, and I used a white Posca pen for the white dots.
