Edition 3: Moodling into curiosity - publications recommended by Take a Moodle with Me
Hi! It’s Debs from Take a Moodle with Me. I write about moodling (yes, it’s a thing!) both metaphorically and literally as a way to find small pockets of time in your everyday life to connect or reconnect with yourself, others and nature, in a slower, more intentional way.
There are so many Substack tools, and even though I’ve been here since February, there are some that I am only just getting around to exploring. One of which is Substack’s Recommendation feature, which they describe as “a way for writers to promote and discover each other on their own terms”.
For this edition of the Curiosity Capsule (if you’re wondering what this is all about, read this), I’ve added these bright shiny recommendations to the capsule!!
Sparkle on Substack
Even though this is a new stack from
, I love the fact that she has moved all her How to Use Substack advice here. I'm looking forward to digesting and engaging with it all slowly! It will be an invaluable resource!Morgan Harper Nichols
writes about "The small things that help you process the big things" and her writing is accompanied by gorgeous artwork - a feast for the eyes and the soul!Encourage Meant
We all need a little encouragement from time to time - head to this stack for your regular top-up! Oh, and more recently they have been writing short fictional pieces too at The Art of Noticing
It truly is an art of noticing!
has a knack for finding ways to keep life interesting. I have been reading these emails for years and there is always something in them that resonates. The Tortoise by Brooke McAlary
writes with absolute clarity about living in a slow way and generously shares a wealth of slow-living resources, including links to the many slow-living substacks on here.I’ll meet you in the comments. Let me know if you’ve discovered someone new through this post today. I’d love to know what you think of the Curiosity Capsule. Leave a comment on any or all of the items, or just say hi!
I hope, dear moodler, that your curiosity will lead you to explore something new this week. Until next time, this is toodles from the Curiosity Capsule.
If you’re wondering what to look at next, have a moodle around these:

My goodness, Debs, not sure how we slipped into such a stellar cast but we are HUGELY encouraged. Thank you so much!
I will be perusing these recommendations with my morning coffee Debs, some I know already, but for those I don’t, thank you! Xx
