This is a Sunday Pocket Note
What are Sunday Pocket Notes? Spontaneous small drops of light-hearted curiosity. A piece of art, a map, a moodle, an image or a tiny reflection that slips lazily into your day. Sometimes playful, thoughtful, or lightly mischievous. I might invite you to look a little closer at an image, find a hidden detail, or follow a small thread of whimsy and playfulness for a moment. Think of them as postcards from my life. Are you with me?
Most of my art maps start long before ink and colour hits the page. They begin with a pencil held above the paper, hovering for a moment while I tune in. This is where the tingle starts. It’s a tiny pause that a doorway into something unknown.
Where will this map take me? I never quite know what shape will arrive.
But I know the moment when my hand shifts from thinking to listening. That’s when the first mark appears.
This is the human touch behind my hand crafted maps. The first mark is always in pencil. Then everything unfolds from there. The wandering. The wondering. The lines that curve for reasons I only understand later. It’s pure moodling. A small act of attention that opens the map before the map opens me before the final version magically emerges out of this process.
