Hiya, Debs here from Take a Moodle with Me. This is me writing about moodling (dawdling, strolling, meandering), noticing, appreciating and going where my curiosity takes me; and finding small pockets of time in everyday life to connect or reconnect with myself.
I invite you to join this discussion and tell us your favourite way to moodle. Or, if the idea of moodling is new to you, what will be your favourite way to moodle in the future?
If you’re a new subscriber, why not introduce yourself in the comments below?
If you’ve been with me for a while, I invite you to do the same.
I’ll kick us off - which is only right!
My favourite way to walk is to moodle - without a set purpose. If I’m honest, I dislike walking to get somewhere, my body is not built for that and never has been. I prefer to meander, camera in hand for as long as it takes - noticing, pausing, appreciating, going where my curiosity takes me. I'm more than happy to do this alone or with a like-minded companion rather than someone who likes walking fast, as moodling can be frustrating for them!
I also moodle to:
get back in touch with myself, my inner child, and my inner artist. It’s an Artist's Date for me.
give myself time to let in new ideas.
get fresh air, stretch my legs, listen to nature, and see new things.
take a much-needed break from technology.
to play. To play. It is so easy to forget how to play!
I look forward to connecting with you in this new space and finding out your moodling preferences, or will be!

Do you know I don’t think I’ve ever walked without an intention to get somewhere … what a revelation ! X
