The beings, places & objects of The Drifting Expanse (2)
The Curious Questers Road Trip: A bonus mini series in a 100-word story form
I feel empty, alone and discarded. I’m lush to touch but flat in mood and volume. I feel blue, even though I’m of a claret-red hue. It’s been too long since I was filled with anything of substance. I yearn to be a cover for a secret, or a wrapper for someone’s special item. If only someone would retrieve me from the back of the drawer, stroke me with love and break me open. Letting the light in just a tiny bit like this would activate the connection between the outside world and the latent magic nestled inside my depths.
This story is part of a bonus mini series for the Curious Questers Road Trip. It explores the beings, places and objects of the The Drifting Expanse. This red drawstring bag was one of the items Kriliah and Company collected from Hexton in Story 3
