Think of it as a dimmer switch, not an on and off thing - that way you can operate along a spectrum / continuum, knowing that it comes and goes with your daily energy levels and capacity.

Hello, Debs. Nice to meet you through Safar's Postcard series. I love this idea of celebrating yourself and something in real life along with the fellow Substacker.
Congratulations on 1 year! I am also celebrating my first year on Substack next week. We are contemporaries! Was it as fast a year for you as for me?
P.S. - Substack seems to have more than one profile for me, and the one linked in your post is a dud that I don't know how to get rid of. My actual, active page is here: https://tarapenry.substack.com/.
I love your fun, colorful maps and can't wait to explore more! It does make a difference. With each month's postcards, I meet someone else that I can't believe I haven't been reading. I am thinking about how to address my anniversary next week. I might do it in a paragraph like you. There is always so much else to write. :-)
This was a wonderful way to jump into Postcards 2024, Debs. I haven't come across Morgan before, and one of the things I enjoy about this event is discovering new folk here on Substack. I loved how you played around with the concept and took it a step further.
Beautiful maps and pointers to others' work. Thank you for that Monday morning slice of joy.
Thank you so much, Caroline! I'm pleased this brought you joy today. My job is done! 💖
I enjoyed reading this Debs, you seem to have found a new energy - how wonderful..!
I need to turn on ‘falling in love with life’ mode… I’m utterly uninspired here - now where’s that switch? X
Thank you Susie! It was actually fun to write.
About that switch. Hmmm...

Hello Tara, good to meet you too! And thank you for stopping by to say hi and comment, It makes a huge difference, don't you think?
Congrats on your year too - it did seem to go fast, and I almost missed the anniversary!
I will sort out the link to your publication asap.

If you follow my work, there will be many more maps - I can guarantee that!
I thought about how to address my anniversary, but in the end, didn't want to make a big fuss over it. Just get on and write, as you say!

Congratulations on your stackaversary!
Aah, thanks on all fronts, Safar. Love that "stackaversary" 😊
I absolutely love your idea of the Postcards, and I'm so glad I found you in time.
I must admit, I did hesitate a little about taking your idea in this direction, so hope it was OK?
Morgan is just great, one of my favourite artist/writers. She's also on IG.
It was very ok! In light of my post today, it seems also perfect. I don't IG anymore, but I am following on here now.
Yes, it does!
