what a great idea debs! we were in beautiful seaview at the weekend to scatter o's father's ashes as he had spent many happy holidays there ... i look forward to following your project
I think my project started when I moved to this house Debs, it’s ongoing... this hill I live on has been my muse since the first day I set eyes on it. I wanted to discover every corner, know it’s history, it’s tendencies, it’s occupants. The history is hard found, nobody here seems to remember (or want to share) past occurrences very readily sadly. I will never stop being curios though!
I look forward to more moodles from your twenty beaches with pleasure ! X
Local quests are great because you often ignore/bypass local destinations with the notion that "I'll get there at some point." But, well, you haven't yet, so why not just change that. :) Perhaps a loose time goal might help add some additional motivation—at least an excuse—to spend that next weekend checking out a new-to-you beach.
Hello! Thanks for stopping by to comment, I really appreciate it.
I get what you mean about adding a loose time frame, and as summer is slowly making its way here, I might see if I can complete this quest this summer. I've already visited about half of the beaches on the island before formally intentionalising (is that even a word?) the quest, so I'm well on my way! All I need to do now, is update my list, so I know how many more I have to visit.
I'm excited for you! My wife and I love to travel, so we have a bunch of these travel quests. Unfortunately, my wife just had a big health crisis and she's been told to not leave our city this summer. So we created a little quest to visit each of the museums here, not just the big ones that even the tourists know of, but the tiny ones that I've never heard of in spite of living here most of my life. Some will certainly be duds, but at least we'll have had the experience. And, as I've always found with quests, there will be places that will pleasantly surprise. I think that's the thing I enjoy about quest the most—they force you to go to places you otherwise wouldn't have, and that means new, unexpected experiences. Hope you have a blast!

Thanks Clare! Hopefully, its an ongoing, slow one that isn't constrained by a number of days, so I can amble through it!
Were you at Seaview on IOW? If you come over again, I'd love to meet up!
so sorry not to see this before - yes indeed that would be lovely!
